2.What is a Green Building?
"A green building uses less energy, water and natural resources, creates less waste and is healthier for the people living inside compared to a standard building."

3.Who has certified Aliens Space Station 1?
Internationally acclaimed “Indian Green Building Council” (IGBC) has certified Aliens Space Station 1. They are connected to The US Green Building Council, LEED and other green certifying agencies.

LEED stands for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design. It is an international agency.

4.What are the elements of a Green Building?
Building Efficiency - Effective usage of natural light and proper ventilation. There is abundant sunlight in every flat.
Indoor Air Quality - Usage of special paints and adhesives. Maintain indoor thermal and visual comfort & air quality
Water Efficiency - Efficient use of water in common areas and rain water harvesting. Recycled water is used for gardening and flushing.
Site Efficiency - User-friendly for physically challenged people. Preventing soil erosion during construction, helps good landscaping. Reduces temperature differences in the building and the nearby environment. Adequate parking to minimize disturbance on the road. Electrical charging facility is available for cars.
Design Efficiency - Efficient HVAC (Heat ventilation & air conditioning) design, efficient lighting design, efficient plumbing design (hot water/cold water). All the mechanical and electrical equipments are certified by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).
Energy Efficiency - Integration of renewable sources to generate energy on-site. Usage of energy efficient fixtures like lights, bulbs, motors & pumps in the common area. Solar Reflective Index (SRI) paints are used on the ceiling and the walls resulting in lower penetration of heat into the apartment. Indoor lighting in common areas automatically adjusts as the light intensity changes outside.
Material Efficiency - Selection of ecologically sustainable materials (material with high recyclable content, etc).
